Heh, thats another signal that will get u in trouble because usually if going south (as you pic shows) and you have a approach at the northend... usually this signal at the SE will be....DARK....not read.

I've wondered about those signals on the Hamlet Sub. Any particular reason why the approach indications are blocked out at the end of these sidings? As short as a lot of those sidings are on this sub along with some of the old Columbia Sub sidings, seems like you don't have room to stop your train between signals.

Yup. Most of the ABS signals were taken out in the 80's. So basically on most stretches you leave where a siding once was, and the next signal might be any where from 4-9 miles away!
